Our Policies
Guarantee
Superb Tutors guarantees satisfaction for your first one hour of tutoring. We do not guarantee your money back after several sessions have been provided or at the end of a course.
If you are not satisfied with your first hour of tutoring you must notify us at the end of that session and prior to any subsequent tutoring sessions and you will not be invoiced for that hour. Sessions lasting more than one hour are not eligible for the guarantee if the student does not choose to cancel the session after one hour has passed.
Payment
All payment is handled through Superb Tutors. Students can pre-pay their sessions by check or can opt to receive invoices twice monthly. Invoices are sent every other week via e-mail (PDF format) for tutoring completed in the previous two weeks.
Students meeting for one-time sessions who do not plan to meet with their tutor again MUST pay at the end of their session, by check (made out to “Superb Tutors”).
Payment Process
We accept personal checks or money orders as payment. Cash is not accepted. Please address payments to “Superb Tutors” and mail to: “Superb Tutors, P.O. Box 34012, San Diego, CA, 92163.”
Late fees
Payments are due 10 (ten) business days after receipt of the invoice. Payments not received by the date specified on the invoice will be charged a $20 late fee for every week past due.
Returned or bounced checks will be charged a $25 fee per check. Failure to pay invoices after 60 days will result in legal action for an amount equal to two times the amount owed or $1,000, whichever is greater, plus all legal fees.
Scheduling & Cancellation Policies
All scheduling is done between the student and their tutor.
Cancellations made with more than 24-hours notice are requested out of consideration for the tutor. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the tutoring appointment will be charged.
No-Show Policy
Students who are more than fifteen (15) minutes late are considered No-Shows and are responsible for full payment of the scheduled tutoring session.
Clients who arrive late will only be tutored for the remainder of the scheduled tutoring session and will be billed for the full session.
Student Minors
A parent or designated adult is requested at all times during tutoring sessions with minors. Should the parent choose to leave the tutoring location during the session, Superb Tutors is released from all liabilities that may occur.
Using Hours in Full
Should you need to cancel your tutoring before completing the minimum number of hours for your package, you will need to pay the difference in rate based on the package your total hours fall into.
For example, if you sign up for the 10 – 24 hour package but realize you only need 8 hours, that’s fine. On your final invoice you’ll see an additional line showing rate difference between the 5 – 9 and 10 – 24 packages, multiplied by 8.
